New Golf Cart?

No this isn't our golf cart. I do want one and I am saving up so maybe in 6 months I will post pictures of our cart! Our friends brother has a valet business and he rented this one for a party he was working. The kids loved playing on it which just validates my desire to have a golf cart. Everyone loves them. It is not just me. -Bill

Kids say the funniest things

So I know this blog is supposed to be about our kids, but I have to share what had to be the funniest thing I've heard in a while. Yesterday, I was on the playground picking up Lauren, and we were talking with some of her friends. A little boy came up to me and said "Guess what?", so I responded "What?", to which he replied "My mommy told me she had a dream that I would be a good boy and you know what...her dream is coming true today.". He was dead serious and I had to hold back my laughter, but boy, when I got far enough away I let those laughs fly.

Emma is tired

Today we woke up and went to the park for 2 hours. That is longer than usual because it gets too hot but today it was nice out. We must have tired Emma out because after we had lunch she went straight over to the couch and fell asleep standing up. -Bill

Shamu

On Saturday we went to Sea world. It was out 6th time since we bought our season passes last September. This was the first time that we saw some snakes that you could touch. Lauren and Emma didn't want to touch it at first but we went back later in the day and they both touched it. We did our normal route through the park but we were lucky enough to be at the big fish tanks at feeding time, which was a first. The girls loved that part but of course Shamu was their favorite! -Bill

Climbing Trees

Here are some pictures of the girls climbing trees. Emma was trying to get up the tree like Lauren but couldn't do it. The next day she found a tree that was more her size. -Bill

A little dirt don't hurt

I was driving to pick up the girls from school yesterday and as I turned the corner into the school's parking lot, I saw Lauren on the playground with one of her little friends. Lauren was down at the bottom of the hill, by the newly planted trees, picking up the dusty dirt and pouring it over her head. Her friend was doing the same. I was mortified! She looked as though she'd been working in the coal mine all day. When I got to her, she told me she was taking a shower, using the dirt as her pretend water. I had to give her points for the imagination. I just wonder what the other little girl told her mommy :-)

Costco band

We went to Costco today and saw that they had a bunch of musical instruments on display. Lauren and Emma love to play with the keyboards, Drums and Guitars. - Bill

The Fort

Lauren wanted to make a fort last night so we got a sheet and some chairs and made one. They had a great time playing in there. Up next is camping indoors.... -Bill

Trip to Ikea

We went to Ikea this weekend to look for some shelves for our office and the girls rooms. Lauren and Emma enjoyed playing in all of the display rooms, all of them, every single one... It took a while to finish shopping. -Bill

Lets go fly a Kite

Since Ike decided to go to the east of us, all we are getting are some high winds. Because I thought ahead I went out and bought a couple of kites yesterday and first thing this morning we went to the park to try them out. My favorite picture is them riding the jeep with Emma flying the kite. -Bill

Take a Hike Ike

Rain would be nice, but not at the expense of our Texas coast and residents. The latest projection is that any nasty weather from Ike will miss us, but we may have some 30-45 mph winds. Little rain though. The only thing we have coming to Austin as a result of Ike is evacuees.

Wagon Ride

Last night we were playing outside and I thought it was about time the girls pushed me around for once. It was fun! -Bill

The Oasis

Last night we went to the Oasis for dinner. Lauren and Emma had a great time playing with all the fun fountains and statues out front and especially the Spaceship. -Bill

Helpers

The girls really wanted to help with the dishes yesterday. Finally we can put them to work. They need to earn their keep! -Bill

Pictures from the weekend

We had some fun at the park on Sunday morning and then in the afternoon we went to a jumping place to release a little energy. -Bill

100% Potty Day for Emma!

Emma successfully used the potty ALL day today with no accidents! Her teachers were so proud of her, and of course, so were Mommy and Daddy. Here is her potty report card. She is currently in her big girl panties while at home and thinks she is soooo cool with them on!

Zilker park

Monday morning we got up and went to Zilker park. We played for about 2 1/2 hours and rode the train. There was also a free puppet show about Barton Springs that the girls enjoyed. -Bill

Clark girls after Church

After Church we went to Target to get some batteries before heading to Rudy's for lunch. While in Target we ran into Delia and Charlie so they all played in the $1 section for a few minutes. -Bill

Early Halloween

We had a few hours to fill up on Sunday and it was hot outside so we pulled out some costumes we bought last year after Halloween. (We got a great deal on these outfits). Lauren picked a cat costume and Emma picked Spider Man, then they switched. Here are some pictures. -Bill

Art Projects

When Lauren turned 2 we made a picture for her room on a fancy art canvas. Emma and I did the same thing this weekend for Emma's new room. I painted a turtle and she colored it in. We had a extra canvas so Lauren painted a picture for her room as well. -Bill
