Halloween Costumes
Here is a sneek peak at the girls costumes. They are going to be princess ghosts. I added the princess part because I don't think they will want to walk around all night with the sheet over their heads. Now they could have been anything they wanted and they did changed their minds many times from Witches to Pirates to Clowns to Shamu but they settled on a Ghost. Works for me. a $7 dollar sheet and a Sharpe. - Bill
Fun in the Car
Seems like kids only have fun in a car when it is not moving. Jessica and Emma went to the store and Lauren wanted to play in the car. I opened the door and she played in there for at least 45 minutes and then continued when Emma got home. I forgot how much fun it was to play in my parents car when I was younger. -Bill
Jessica and Lauren Running
Jessica went to the track on Sunday to run so the girls and I decided to suprise her and ride our bikes up to cheer her on. Both Lauren and Emma wanted to run but Lauren was the only one that could keep up. - Bill

Highlights of Grandma Luci/Grandpa Denny Trip
It was a fun filled, jam packed week with Grandma Luci and Grandpa Denny. The girls had a really good time doing crafts, going to Sea World, and even some of the boring stuff Grandpa Denny liked to do :-). The highlight of the trip, from my viewpoint, was Emma's successful fishing expedition. We'd yet to catch anything other than seaweed and sun, but with pro-fisher Grandma Luci telling Emma which lure to use and where to drop her line, in less than 1 minute, Emma was reeling in her first little blue gill. We even have a picture to prove it.One of the neat crafts the girls did was making vases out of baking soda, corn starch and water. It's the newer version of ivory soap flakes, which come to find out, are no longer made. But, the concoction the girls used worked great and was mess-free (yippee!). Bill and I now have beautiful vases for our offices.
The girls also painted their pumpkins. We first headed off to Home Depot for the perfect pumpkins. The girls walked in, went to the bin, and picked the first pumpkin they saw. No debate, no inspection, nothing. Grandpa at least had to influence to have them choose ones with handles, which we put in the back of the car where they proceeded to roll around and snap the handles off any way. Painting is definitely the way to go when the kiddos are too little to carve.
We ventured down to SeaWorld for the day and had the most amazing time. The weather was perfect and the place was decorated for Halloween. We fed the dolphins, watched the beluga show, saw Shamu. But, the big event was that Emma rode the Shamu rollercoaster for the first time and loved it. They then rode the spinning tea cups with Grandma. Emma was shouting "faster, faster" and Lauren was shouting "slower, slower". At least it didn't go up and down, or Grandma would've been shouting "let me out, let me out"!Friday, October 3, 2008
Eating with Ducks
When the weather gets nice and we can eat outside we like to go to Johnny Fin's. It is on Lake Travis but the best part is that the girls love to feed the ducks. We always sit right along the water so they can get a good view. Half the food goes in their mouth and the other half goes in the water. -Bill
